Dear Gaia,

I got your letter and I came as fast as I could. You told me you were having some problems - like a parasite of sorts.

I wanted to hear what was going on from the inside out. Understand the root of the problem (excuse the pun).

I wanted to be you and feel you while being you from within you.

It’s been a little over 30 years for me - which is not a measurement of note for you - but I seem to understand what’s going on now.

The parasite seems to have become very afraid. It’s scared of everything. It’s scared of itself, of other parasites. It’s even scared of you!

Somehow it forgot how to love.

How to love itself, love you, love its neighbors.

It forgot that the answer was always there, within itself.

You asked me to come here for research, to examine the situation.

These are the options I see before you:

1) Get rid of the parasite. Mass extinction. It may destroy you, itself and every other living thing before you can destroy it.

2) You can give it all your resources - but girl - I see you’re depleted. Your wells are running dry, your sparkle is starting to fade, you can barely breathe and your temper is rising. So I get that you wanna help, but at some point, you’ll be dust.

3) Bring in some light from all your neighbors. Bring in help and try to heal the disease from the inside. It’ll take time, but it might be your only option.

Of course, I will respect whatever you wanna do Gaia, but if you choose option 3 - which I assume you’ll do, I think I can help.
